The most famous shopping street in Singapore is Orchard road. This long street is popular with visitors

lifestyle destination is
VIVOCITY, 10 minutes from Orchard Road. Travel to HarbourFront Centre
(Where you take the cable car to Sentosa Island) - Get there by MRT North East
line, taxi or bus. For shopping plus entertainment - theatres and dinning,
the popular places today is at
Marina Bay Sands (more
for shoppers who shop for designer labels) and
Resort World Sentosa.
There are night markets but selection of goods are
limited .
To shop for local or more cheaper good, visit some of
the shopping centres where locals go. Some housing area have shopping malls
along the MRT line or bus interchange (check out

or see section below). There are also local shops at some housing estates where
there is a bus interchange (e.g. at Ang Mo Kio).
The simple and easy
way to shop is at shopping arcades or malls along the MRT stops (or nearby) such as
at Bishan,
Novena, Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands, Orchard, Somerset, City Hall, China
Town, Little India, Sembawang, Bugis, Tampines, Jurong, etc. There are shopping
malls and restaurants all house under one roof.

and where there is plenty to see or where you can buy a wide selection of merchandise are
places such as China Town, Bugis, Little India, Woodlands, Jurong, etc. China
Town, Bugis and Little India are great places to shop for Asian souvenirs or
gifts at a low price. Popular affordable shopping places are Bugis Junction located above Bugis MRT Station, and the open
air shopping nearby or Causeway Point in Woodlands. If you are looking for computer or IT
products, visit Sim Lim Square or if there is a sales at the
Singapore expo.
